Purpose

This is a one-size fits all template for structures to describe their construction restraints. It is unsuitable for natural blocks. For natural blocks, use {{NaturalPlacement}}.

Parameters

PlacedOn

  • Default = It can only be placed on crafted blocks. (Eg: most structures)
  • Walls = It can only be placed on walls. (Eg: ceiling blocks, rooves)
  • Natural = It can be placed on either natural or crafted blocks. (Eg: foundations and a few structures, eg huts)

Morph

  • Default = Nothing
  • True = Its shape can be changed with Q. (Eg: Stairs, fences)

PickUp

  • Default = It can't be picked up.
  • True = It can! (Eg: Building blocks)

Paint

  • Default = It can be painted. (eg: Most building blocks)
  • False = It cant.

Extends

  • Default = Nothing
  • True = As the structure extends out over its base, the sides can merge into adjacent blocks above its ground level. (Eg: Huts, Goblin Trading Center}

Examples

Example 1 - Fence

It can be placed on either natural or crafted blocks like Floors, Foundations, or Ceilings. It can be rotated with E before placement. Its shape can be changed with Q before placement. It can be picked up with F if undamaged. It can be painted.


Example 2 - Ceiling

It can only be placed on Walls or against another ceiling. It can be rotated with E before placement. It can be picked up with F if undamaged. It can be painted.


Example 3 - Whatever

{{Construction | Paint = False | Extends = True }}

It can only be placed on crafted blocks like Floors, Foundations, or Ceilings. It can be rotated with E before placement. It cannot be picked up. It cannot be painted. As the structure extends out over its base, the sides can merge into adjacent blocks above its ground level.

Example 4 - Complete
