Passive Taming: Non-aggressive creatures can be fed by players until they befriend the creature. To do this, you'll need to figure out which type of food the creature eats and feed it by placing the food item in your '0' action bar slot. Once you have the proper food equipped simply approach the creature and interact as prompted on screen.

Knockout Taming: Aggressive creatures require players to knock them out before they can be tamed. This can be done using items such as a Sleepy Arrows (similar to ARK Tranquilizer Arrows). Once the creature is knocked out simply load the creatures inventory with the creatures preferred food. Remember to keep an eye on the creatures knockout timer and feed them knockout berries or sleepy potions to keep them asleep.

This is a melee weapon that can knock out small creatures and dinos out without killing them (such as a [[Dilophosaurus]]). The second weapon you get is the [[slingshot]] (this uses [[flint]] for ammo). This [[Engrams|engram]] can be unlocked at level 10 and can be used to knock creatures out by hitting them in the head, which is more effective than a [[Wood Stick]], but still not very easy to do later game. When you are level 15, you unlock the [[Bow]] and [[Sleepy Arrow]]s. These arrows will increase a creature's [[torpidity]] whenever they are hit and will eventually knock the creature out.

Creatures in Pixark can be tamed and used for various purposes. Uses for tamed creatures include riding, item transportation, storage, hunting, harvest, and defending property.

Taming Basics[ | ]

PixARK uses knockout and passive taming.
