Taming[ | ]

Note: Non-magical Sleepy Arrows fired from a bow or crossbow deliver extra torpor over time for 5 seconds after impact. Only two instances of this effect can be in effect at once - a third arrow hit before the effect has fully resolved will result in potential torpor being wasted. For maximum efficiency, time your shots so that they land 5 seconds apart. The numbers given here are assuming you do so.

For passive tames, there is a long wait between the first and second feedings as the creature eats, after which it follows the feeding intervals listed. These feeding intervals are estimates - the actual interval will vary per-creature based on random chance.

With their high torpidity, a T. Rex can easily take several hundred Sleepy Arrows, so preparation is crucial if one wishes to avoid a long and arduous battle. It is advisable to use Sleepy Darts with a Longneck Rifle, as this requires roughly 8 times fewer shots than using sleepy arrows, giving the player a considerably shorter knockout time and more control of the situation as a whole.

Some players will find it worthwhile to build a taming pen to trap the T. Rex, but it is worth noting that due to their erratically aggressive behavior, it is often very difficult to coax a T. Rex into the enclosure without taking heavy sustained damage in order to keep its focus. They will usually target the closest living creature, sometimes seeming to pick a target at random from further away if it isn't actively engaged in combat, which can result in unpredictable behavior and present a challenge for a player who wishes to draw it to a certain area.

Combat[ | ]

Having lots of health and dealing lots of damage, a rex is a formidable opponent and only the strongest weapons can take one down. High damage dealing or flying creatures are recommended for fighting a Rex. You can also make a big hole in the ground, lure it into the hole, and shoot at it until it dies

Utility[ | ]

1: Meat-runner A rex is great for gathering meat as it often harvests corpse blocks in one hit and can take down most creatures it comes across. 2: Base defense In PVP or PVE, a Rex set on Attack my Target is good at defending your base against hostile creatures or players. 3: Boss Fights While being unable to fit into most boss ruins in the normal Land map, Rex’s are the go-to choice for fighting the death lord and the Skyward bosses

Controls

-LMB : Bites in front of him.

-RMB : Roar making enemies of lower level in range to flee for 2-55s. Scared effect exclusive to Golden Realm subspecies.

-r3 : His running animation can stomp enemies dealing a little damage.

Additional notes[ | ]

Weighs 97.5 units in a Pixblock. S Roaring sound is somehow reminiscent of the Indominus Rex.
