Cobalt Organic Matter is a resource item in Pixark.
Overview[ | ]
Cobalt Organic Matter is a resource found by harvesting non-mechanical Cobalt variants of creatures. Such as the Cobalt Pachy, Cobalt Anky, and Cobalt Rex. Cobalt Organic Matter is only consumable by wild cobalt carnivores while taming.
Usage[ | ]
At lower levels the primary use is taming carnivore cobalt creatures, such as the Cobalt Terror Bird, Cobalt Rex, and Cobalt Gargoyle. Once the player reaches higher levels, Cobalt Organic Matter is a key component to crafting Cobalt Battery
Collecting[ | ]
Cobalt Organic Matter can be acquired by killing any Cobalt variant of a normal creature, and then harvesting the blue meat block with either a hatchet or tamed creature. Cobalt Organic Matter appears to drop at a quantity of 4 - 30 (with 30 being on the rare side) per creature, and breed of creature also seems also to affect drop quantity. Cobalt Rex, Cobalt Anky, and Cobalt Carbonemy have been reported to have the best drop quantities. While Cobalt Organic Matter does drop at a very high rate, it is not 100%, with some meat cubes not bearing the Cobalt Organic Matter.

If you significantly overkill creatures weaker than your tame or your weapon, the blue block with the organic matter won't drop. It may be better to dismount and kill it with a weaker weapon, then have your mount harvest the block if it can.
